Planning & Zoning

The Planning & Zoning Commission is a volunteer group of local residents appointed by the Town Council that is dedicated to helping the Town of Guernsey achieve the community's vision for the future. The board seeks to improve the quality of Guernsey's built environment, to protect scenic and environmentally sensitive areas, to ensure provisions for needed public facilities, to assist community members in understanding community development, and to improve the community's quality of life.

The Town of Guernsey also uses the Planning & Zoning Commission to adopt rules relating to planning and zoning matters and to hear and decide on matters referred to the board. The Planning and Zoning Commission meets the last Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the Town Hall . The meetings are open to the public. Should you have any questions or would like to be on the agenda, please email Matt Allred or contact Town Hall at (307) 836-2335.
