Message from the Mayor

Welcome to the Town of Guernsey!

I’m Mayor Ed Delgado,

Our Town has rich history that provides a glimpse into the past with the deepest ruts on the Oregon Trail, Register Cliff and the Pony Express way station. The Town was originally known as the “emigrant’s wash tub” because of the warm springs that are located just west of town. Incorporated in 1902 when the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Railroad reached the area and became known as the “Hub of the Oregon Trail”.

Today Guernsey’s economy is diverse and hosts Camp Guernsey National Guard Base, BNSF, a flourishing industrial park and is a short commute to the surrounding communities that compliment Guernsey’s economic market.

I encourage you to come spend a day with us in Guernsey, you will fall in love with the people, culture and beautiful scenery that encompass the Town.

Town of Guernsey
Mayor Ed Delgado
